A ghost, the goddess of death, a jellyfish, and WWII GI, and a gaggle of waterfowl are among the characters that strut the stage at this year’s Island Theatre Ten-Minute Play Festival.

Now in its sixth year, Island Theatre’s Ten-Minute Play Festival features original short plays by Kitsap County Playwrights. Held over an August weekend each year since 2012, these fully staged performances take place in the Bainbridge Performing Arts theater. This year, out of 57 play submissions, ten plays have been selected to be performed by Island Theatre directors and actors.

Reserved seat tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, students, and military, and are available online through the Bainbridge Performing Arts Box Office, with any remaining tickets sold at the door. If you require special accommodations/handicapped seating, please call 206-842-8569.

Please join Island Theatre in the BPA lobby an hour before showtime for refreshments. The theater doors open 30 minutes before showtime.

PLEASE NOTE: The festival is recommended for ages 13 and above,
as some plays include strong language and adult subject matter.

Below are the ten winning entries to be featured in this year’s play festival.
All ten plays will be performed at each of the three shows.
