Diane B. Bankart joined the board in 2007 after assisting on The Vagina Monologues in 2005 and An Enemy of the People in 2006. She has since directed on her own at the library and for the Island Theatre Ten-Minute Play Festival. Her initiation into performing arts was as Choreographer for the Montana’s Junior Miss Pageant in 1974 and 1975.
Mary Braden grew up on Bainbridge and is a founding member of Island Theatre and official treasurer. Her gifts to the organization are budget keeping, bookkeeping and costume creating.
Karla Cole joined the Island Theatre board in 2007. She has performed in multiple productions on the island and loves the break from her day job, Emergency Room Nurse at Harrison Medical Center in Silverdale.
Rozzella Kolbegger has been involved in theater most of her life. Since moving to the island in 2004 she has appeared onstage with Bainbridge Performing Arts, Bainbridge Chorale, and Side By Side as well as with Island Theatre. She now directs for IT, and likes it even more than performing. She was honored to join the IT board in 2014.
Tell Schreiber, residing since 1996 on Bainbridge, has had many acting, reading and directing roles. He taught acting at college level and joined Island Theater Board in 2015. He has a BA, Dartmouth College, MFA, York University and is a gardener, kayaker and woodworker.
Steve Stolee, President, is a founding member of Island Theatre. A resident of Bainbridge Island since 1979, he’s an actor, director, and filmmaker as well as a freelance photographer and graphic designer.
Kathleen Thorne joined the Island Theatre board in 2010. After one feeble attempt at a minor part in an Island Theatre production, she retreated to an administrative role. She is also Outreach Coordinator at Bainbridge Performing Arts and coordinates Library U programs for the Bainbridge Public Library.
